A great time at Murder By The Book in Houston. I got amazing carrot cake from a couple of local bakers who like my work – AND Big Tiny’s Mom (Karen M) was there in person!
Tonight – Book Passage in Corte Madera, CA, 6:00 PM local.
California tonight. On the other side of the state from me but I’ll bet the weather will be wonderful.
Today it’s in the upper 70s with middling humidity so a lovely day. And no mail delivery so the gate stays locked and the dogs have the run of everything all day. I’m even going to open both gates so if they want to run in circles around the house using the entire front and back yard they can.
I finally got all of the volunteer grapevines out of the front and gave it a good soak so I’m hoping to get some dead grass dug up and some boards into the sides of raised beds #3 and #4. I’m getting ready to move some dirt too. The new bench boards are ready for sanding and some of the rose cuttings I propagated look like they are developing roots as they are getting new growth. All in all it is a great day.
How wonderful! Big Tiny, did your mom deliver on the autographed books? She looks like such a nice lady and great mom! I’m so glad to put a face to a name of one of the blog members! It’s on my bucket list to one day attend one of OFA’s book signings!
Reba!! Yes, to the signing of books. The bookstore allowed two extra plus the new Plansky. And mom snuck in the ACatWasInvolved small book. So all signed to me and mom!!
Yes. A small paperback book. It was a promotional publication that , I believe, was given out with the purchase of whichever C&B book was coming out. Mom even commented to Peter that she felt very lucky to have that rare book. Mom will include a picture of it when she does a Phriday Photo.

It was a book? A real, paper sort of book?
