Commenter MLaiuppa thinks someone should make a movie based on the life of Caravaggio. I couldn’t agree more! Among many other things, there are beckoning gaps in the narrative. IT’S A WONDERFUL WOOF fills in one of those gaps:

I’d forgotten all about the picture of the dude holding up the cut-off head of another dude. Why couldn’t some things stay forgotten? “Apparently Goliath is a self-portrait,” Bernie said.

Katherine peered at the picture. “I didn’t know that.” Her voice got a little husky. “His power is overwhelming, even on a print-out like this.” She looked up. “How come you have it? Are you telling me that Caravaggio was actually here in the Valley?
