If I’m getting this right, the Supper at Emmaus would come on the Monday after Good Friday. Here it is in one of the greatest paintings by one of the greatest artists – Caravaggio. Somehow he plays a role in IT’S A WONDERFUL WOOF, one of 2 Chet and Bernie Christmas mystery novels.

How fascinating that their eyes were opened, and they then recognized the risen Lord! I’ve noticed that I am also blind to the obvious from time to time. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Jilly and I enjoyed lovely weather for a nice long walk.
Caravaggio, the gangster artist. He was a thug with tremendous talent. I can see why he was the chosen artist for the book.
“Thug with tremendous talent” – that’s perfect!
