Mom is still trying to figure out if she can make the Houston stop. It’s about 5 hours from here. The getting there isn’t a problem, it’s getting back on Saturday on time.
Scottsdale is about a five hour drive for me but that would entail getting there a day early and then leaving the following day. Basically two nights and three days.
I’ve got two dogs with zero delayed gratification. If I put out three days of food they would eat all six meals the minute I was out the gate. So I’m afraid no road trip for me. Even if I stayed in a Best Western and took the dogs with me, I couldn’t leave them in the hotel room while I went to the book store. So again, no road trip for me.
Actually the first time I met Peter in person was when he spoke at the Concord Free Library, probably back in 2011. It was my sixtieth birthday and Debbie arranged a trip for us to go up to Boston for a celebratory weekend. He was on an author panel with two other authors, one of which I can’t remember, but the other was Archer Mayor, who wrote a great series about a police officer in Brattleboro, VT.

I’ve been to Scottsdale, AZ and Mystic, CT.

How far is Woodstock, GA from WTAFP?
Woodstock Ga is close to 800 miles away; it’s actually a suburb of Atlanta. Truthfully, the Connecticut sites would be closer, but still too far away.
Maybe you can work out a little vacation with Franklin at your favorite spot. That’s closer.

Our Lady says none of those places are close to the kennel. Can she be trusted to look at a map? Youse tell us.
