Sunday we do beginnings. First, here are coming events on the book tour for Mrs. Plansky Goes Rogue:
Monday, August 4, 4:PM – Falmouth Public Library, Falmouth MA (Eight Cousins Books)
Thursday, August 7, 6:00 PM – Book Love, Plymouth, MA
And here’s how it starts:
“What’s your favorite sports cliché?” said Kev Dinardo.
“In general?” Mrs. Plansky said. “Or possibly useful at the moment?”
(Fairbanks the gator plays a supporting role in the story.)

I hope Dottie is getting some attention today on OFA’s day off.
The tour is winding down. As exciting as it was, I expect OFA is looking forward to a bit of a rest. Just Monday and Thursday appearances and local so back in his own bed at the end of the day.
If anyone missed it, it was leaked by, I think the Poisoned Pen, that after Cat on a Hot Tin Woof there will be three, count them three more Chet and Bernie books. The speed of which I suppose will depend on inspiration and the author’s whim. He said he does one book a year but if he’s paid by the book with three guaranteed, he might just want to write them as the muse inspires. Not sure, with a contract for three hanging over his head, if that is a blessing of inspiration or a curse of necessity. I don’t think those things have mandatory deadlines so any nudging and prodding would likely be self-imposed. True writers just need to write. It’s a necessity of life like eating and breathing. So I expect any deadlines would be self-imposed.
I also expect amongst writing those three inspiration for another Mrs Plansky is going to hit.
Pub date for Cat on a Hot Tin Woof is still about a year away. A whole year. A YEAR!
The waiting is agony, knowing it’s “done” but still having to wait. A lot of socks are going to be knit in the meantime. Maybe even a sweater.
Dottie better be getting a lot of belly rubs and trips to the beach.
Mom and I hope that there will be more than 3 more Chet and Bernie books!!!
