First hot and humid tennis day of the summer. Lots of fun but by the end of the match I would have traded places with Archie (seen here in a great photo by Bob, his human companion, up in the hills on the far side of the country).
Archie does look like her having fun! I imagine Chet would enjoy paddling along with him.
It’s a lovely 72 degrees here today in Idaho’s Treasure Valley. Yay! Getting back to heat tomorrow though.
It was a lovely 71 today but I did practically nothing outside. I did water the rose cuttings and seedlings. The mail came early so I let the dogs back out front, then went to Target to pick up a replacement dual salt and pepper grinder to replace the one I broke last night. The temps will increase a degree or two each day until it reaches 77-78 next week, then hold for a bit.
Hopeing for no mail tomorrow so I can spend most of the day out front.
There are no lakes to speak of near by that I would swim in. The ocean is 10 min away but wouldn’t swim in that either. I’ve seen the aerial videos of sharks off the coast. Plus I don’t like the sand and stickiness of the salt water. If I want to swim, I can go t the big pool at the Y.
I have taken Diana to the bay to swim and she even has a little life vest for buoyancy but she is not keen on swimming. I haven’t taken Freyja as she has a lousy recall and I cannot trust either of them to come when called. The last time I went Diana left with some lady and her dog and wouldn’t come back and the lady kept walking, faster than I could and the wind was against me so she couldn’t hear me calling. took 45 min of frantic searching and people helping until she finally came back. Said she thought Diana belong to the people in front of her. All I could think of was, if that was a child playing with your child, would you just walk off with them?
If we had any lakes like Archie’s I would love to take the both of them there if for no other reason than to see if Freyja likes to swim. She is a weird husky so maybe she would.

Greetings!
Such a gorgeous photo!
It is 95 degrees in my neck of the woods. I wish I was right there with Archie too.
Good afternoon to all!
