Following up on yesterday’s paperback publication of Up on the Woof Top, there’s another Chet and Bernie Christmas mystery (with dashes of Hanukkah): It’s a Wonderful Woof. And let’s not leave out Santa 365, a digital and audio short story. Is it too soon to be thinking of things to gift wrap?

Good day to all.
Greetings!
It is never too soon to be thinking of things to gift wrap. I love wrapping presents, I just wished I was better at it.
It felt like a summer day in this neck of the woods.
Good evening to all!
Tomorrow I will insist Mom start on my bio for Phriday Photos. It won’t be in time for this week but at least OFA will have it to fit in the queue when needed. I believe I will dictate it so it will probably be in first person (is that the correct terminology?). I wouldn’t want her to downplay my awesomeness.
YAY!
Never too early. I’ve already got gifts for my parents on my Amazon wishlists waiting to be paid for and sent and I have a box with some things going to my friend in Minnesota. First for her birthday in November and then for Christmas.
I’ve also got my Christmas baking list started and ingredients lists made and have already started to buy needed supplies. I’ll need to make marzipan, candied orange and lemon peels and Lebkuchengewürz for the Stollen, Lebkuchen, Pandoro and Panettone. I’ll have marzipan left over so will be making Frankfuter Breten with the left overs. There are also the family recipes for Butterzeug, Dutch White Ginger, Bourbon balls, Pecan Puffs, Spritz and I will be attempting Speculaas this year. I’ve already bought a windmill cookie mold. Also purchased is almond flour, rose water and all of the spices. Today I bought oranges and lemons and will be starting the process of making them candied soon. I still have a bit to go. Dozens of eggs, pounds of butter, hazelnut flour, and going to finely chop some pistachios so my Dad can eat the biscotti.
But no, I have yet to actually wrap anything.
Today is National Boston Cream Pie day. I understand you do not have to live in Boston to eat this pie.
This is also the day the swallows depart from San Juan Capistrano. I’m not sure when the buzzards leave Hinckley Ridge.
