  1. Greetings!

    Nice going, Spence!

What really shocked me was when the author of the list mentioned that the first C&B was about 15 years old! Yeep! I had to go back and fact check that. According to Amazon, “Dog On It” was published back in 2009! Double Yeep!

The forecast had predicted 8-12″ of snow in this neck of the woods yesterday. Final total was about 4.” It will probably get washed away, as there is rain in the forecast for later today into Monday.

    Good day to all!

  2. Wow. It is impressive to be included in such an eclectic but short list. Of course, the writer seems to be a prolific reader so even more that among the many books read this year, you are included on that short and diverse list. But the author has also been a fan for a long time, way before C&B. Congrats on the nod to Mrs Plansky and the plug for CoaHTW.

The high today will be around 70. Tonight’s low 48. It’s sunny. We are going through a short warm phase as we do during the winter season. It will be down to 64 on New Year’s Day and will rain for about three days. Then settle back to sunny mid 60s for a while.

  3. Isn’t that a wonderful review? As I mentioned on the Facebook post of this review, I always identified with Loretta, but now that I am a widow, I see her in a new light, and identify even more. How does OFA get inside the skin of a seventy- something widow? Or a dog? I do believe magic has something to do with it.
BTW, Jilly and I are anticipating New Year’s shenanigans with delight! What shall I provide for the furry ones in Lieu of champagne?

    1. We feel confident in saying that a vat o’ beer is always a safe bet if Rio is involved. We typically bring two with us…one for indulging and one for swimming. Slurp!

  4. Reba: The real questions is what would you like to drink? We’ll have it deliver to the *cough* quiet gathering we’re planning in Mother Jail. Mama Luna who raised us with a firm but loving paw, had agreed to be the designated blurrer for those of you who don’t blur. Her rules for blurring are:

    1) Keep the wiggling to a minimum; and
    2) bring snacks.

    1. Well, champagne seems de rigueur for New Years Eve, and it’s delightful enough. For future reference, however, please note that I would not look askance at a nice stiff scotch on the rocks. Especially if shenanigans are on the agenda.
