Back in 1992, Grizz and I went to see the movie “The Bodyguard.” In the film, Whitney Huston performs the song “I Will Always Love You.” Wow! The lyrics were beautiful, and Whitney Huston’s performance of the song is unforgettable. I didn’t know anything about the song, and then I found out that Dolly Parton had written it. While Huston’s cover version is more torch song in style, Dolly’s version is tender, lovely, and poignant. Dolly was a wonderful county music icon. She will be missed. Rest in peace alongside your beloved husband, Carl.
