  2. Ryder definitely looks like he knows how to stay cool on a hot day. Good dog.

    We will likely be at 100 or above for the next three days, hitting 102 tomorrow and Friday if the forecast holds. Definitely a lot of pool time for Franklin coming up.

  3. Thieves, responding to yesterday’s response, no, nobody threw anything! A good time was had by all! I think it was an online round table, so pitches would’ve been awfully long distance!

  4. I do so enjoy flipping Ms. Wose’s calendar to the first of every month! Miss Abby is such a happy dog! She looks like she might be related to Ryder. I feel a blurr coming on so all these furry friends can have an adventure. Jilly’s game!

  5. Reba. Not sure if you know Abby’s story, but she lives next door and has a very special relationship with Franklin primarily through the fence. She watches him play ball in the morning and they then share a few treats through the fence (Franklin doesn’t mind if she gets most of the treats.). She often passes toys as gifts for him through the hole in the fence, which are very special treasure for him. A most unusual but very special friendship!

    1. Abby is such a special friend to Franklin. Have you considered cutting some of those bubble porthole windows into the fence so they can at least see each other and vicariously touch noses?

  6. Look at the Sugar Face on Ryder. A seasoned swimmer and I’ll be a great hugger and kissy face. Obviously a connoisseur of great ponds of the swimmable persuasion.

    I was giving Diana pawPrints some overdue hugs and pets today and her face is becoming quite sugary as well. It’s the Golden in her. She will be 8 years old this year. Also gave a handsy inspection of Freyja Grey and she is quite the porker. I have no idea where she is stealing this food from. She is strictly rationed and there is no more fruit in the yard for her to steal.

    Thieves! Have you been passing Slim Jims to her on the sly?

    Sigh, I do still wish we could post the occasional picture.
