For those of you who are more recent additions to the Plunderers family, the following is a guide to the quilt, with a couple of helpful annotations added. If I got anything wrong, for those in the know, please feel free to correct me.
Top Row— Rio (Rockies Stadium); SiberH
Second Row — Bluecat; Wolfie Wigglebutt; Rio; Gus & Boo Bear (predecessors to Big Tiny); SiberH (signature)
Third Row— Rio (official ID card); Staff (Nancy Drew/Dawson’s sister)/Alice; Wookie; Staff/Abbie; Sammie
Fourth Row: — Buford (blind friend of Kirby); Mollie — A Black Poodle; Cosmo; Macy; Kirby T. Pentworthy
Fifth Row:— Staff; Alice; Mollypop; Rio (bedbugs); Jasper the Poodle
Sixth Row:— Plunders’ Motto (B Stover); Newf puppies; Newf pack (representing Melanie Carpenter); Maggie; B. Stover
Since then many others have been added as the Plunderer family has continued to expand. While some may have dropped off at one point or another from more active participation, once a Plunderer, always a Plunderer (or as the song says about the Hotel California, you can check out but you can never leave).
Wose: Are youse accepting submissions for the calendar? If so, we may want to submit a photo of our Protege and her Interloper. Neither of them have received their first mugshot — trust me, we’re disappointed, too. You always want the younger general to have more than you had — so it may just be a run of the mill photo.
Thieves!….We here are 11 pieces of a 1000 piece puzzle away from finishing!!! …spin!twirl!splort!….Tomorrow is the big day because we just didn’t want the fun to end today….snuffle!…Stay tuned for a full, hopefully in focus foto of the finished masterpiece…..yeeep!
Yeep! Eleven sounds like it’s more than two but less than a pug-thousand!
Rio-The Evil Pug
1000!….Have youse ever dumped out a 1000 piece puzzle onto a table?…..gasp!….My friend wept at the sight. Then she pulled herself together and got zip lock baggies. She sorted thru those 1000 pieces over and over and filled those baggies with pieces she thought went together into multiple baggies….puffle!…It is the only way to put together a puzzle this big she said. Even with all the sorting and puffing on my behalf, it took her a couple of weeks (we did not keep track of the hours) to get to the last 11 pieces!!!…wheeze!….She says she might buy a bottle of Bubbly for the occasion tomorrow!….snort!
Quilt!….What a great sight for old Pug-Eyes….snort!…. I believe I came up with the idea for the Quilt and then got everyone else on Chets Blog to do all the work….heh!heh!…..My friend got carried away with the new found fun of photo-cloth and sent in many such squares of my activities at the time…chuffle!….It was a busy time wot with the bed-bug business taking off and the new ID cards being created and Baseball going on….wheeze!….Never a dull moment back then….gasp!
Our Lady says youse haven’t lived until you’ve been greeted by a pack of Newfs. When she met them, she was sitting in a rolling office chair. Heartfriend opened the door that was keeping the pack at bay. Heartfriend opened the door and before our Lady knew it, she was pushed back to the wall on the opposite side the room, smothered in Newf Pack. What a day!
More to Rio: So therefore, Friend’s introduction to us was calm by comparison to a Pack o’ Newfs. Heh, heh.
Introduction! ….It was all Siber-H. He was the one who introduced us to the Iditarod and to the missing Whitey….snort!….He was the one who wanted us to connect with youse. I remember posting about Whitey being lost in the snow and how hard it would be to find him – him being white as snow and all…heh!
Siber-H!….He is the gorgeous Siberian Husky on the very right corner of The Quilt, after the “Chet The Jet” title of The Quilt. He was my bestest friend for a long time….sigh!…I miss him very much indeed…wuffle!
We also remember fondly the first time we met Friend in person. We’re hazy on the details, but the way we remember it she was weighed down by the contents of her pockets. Enter us and problem solved.
Rio-The Evil Pug
Kleenexes!…..They stole all of the Kleenex out of my friends’ pockets….grunt!…And she Needs Those on a daily basis!…wheeze!…Luckily her little digital kamera (which I still don’t believe existed) was with Luna. Luna was taking fotoz with it of my friend being brought thru the woods by sled dogs….yeeep! …How much fun she had! Then the Thieves descended on her after she got off the trailer and took everything she had in her pockets….grunt!
I think I would like being smothered by a pack of Newfies. Unfortunately I don’t know any. I think it is a location thing. My area isn’t conducive to the comfrot of Newfies, even though we do have a large ocean very nearby.
Ah, thanks for showing us the quilt again. Good memories.
WTAFPL: The first block in the 5th row was submitted for me, Dawson, though it was stitched in my behalf by sister Staff.
For Rio: ordinaryartisans.com/2018/11/13/moravian-armory-mckey-carpenter YSAS is teaching Stage combat classes mainly using swords and (I think) medieval weapons. OTAS is still tattooing and raising 3 sons along with his beautiful wife who teaches painting classes. He also handcrafts knives, leather and props that McKey uses in his artistic endeavors
Dawson!….Appreciate the news. As youse know we here are not fans of facebookie and never will be….grunt!….I know it limits our knowledge of others but it also limits knowledge of us to undesirables….gruffle!
Clarkson!….We here still have that gorgeous photo Melanie took of her son and auctioned it off for one of the Iditarods…..snort!…We see it every day and say a little prayer for him and his family….wuffle! ….Remember when he was on that show as a dead guy?? What was the name?? ….Sherlock?
Thieves!….My friend says it was her pleasure although alarming at the time, she felt she really got to know youse guys after the surprise wore off. ….snort!
Our mom has fond memories of that quilt. But now she can’t figure out why our dear departed brother Dima and Mama Meash and sister Kat aren’t there. Maybe because our mom isn’t crafty and can’t sew?
Dawson: Thanks very much for that. That was actually the only block on the entire quilt that I was uncertain about in terms of attribution. Knowing that it came from Staff (Nancy), as a default I attributed it to her, even though there were other blocks attributed to her as well. I will correct my description of the quilt going forward so that the first block on the fifth row will now be attributed to you as it should have been,

Greetings!
I love seeing this quilt! It always brings back nice memories. Thanks, WTAFP for the identifications.
Dawson: You are on the list. :^)
Reminder: The deadline to have your name put on the list for the 2026 Plunder On! calendar is October 27th.
Good Monday to all!
Always enjoy seeing that quilt and thank you WTAFP for always providing an I.D. Key.
Now, I’d like to know who got bribed for Río to have so many blocks? And what did they use?
Rio is a mastermind.
Note to selves: Become masterminds.
Note to WTAFP: Is the mastermind retainer different than the lovable miscreant retainer? Asking for a friend…
Wose! Did you see my post the other day? Mom and I definitely want a calendar. Check will be mailed tomorrow!
Big Tiny: I did, and you are on the list! :^)

Newfs!….I so miss news of the Newf gang and its beloved family….sniff!snuffle!

Rio: We regret nothing. We’d do it again.
Thieves!….My friend says it was her pleasure although alarming at the time, she felt she really got to know youse guys after the surprise wore off. ….snort!
We have that effect on Friends. It’s part of our charm.
We wanted to get our paws on Friend’s camera, but Luna wouldn’t hear of it what with her firm but loving paws.
Our mom has fond memories of that quilt. But now she can’t figure out why our dear departed brother Dima and Mama Meash and sister Kat aren’t there. Maybe because our mom isn’t crafty and can’t sew?
Or maybe it was even before their time?
Thieves! Your post from yesterday has inspired me…My idea for the 2027 calendar is Mugshots From Mother Jail. :^)

Wose!! Believe or not, but I got Mom to write the check, address the envelope and take to the post office to mail!!
Big Tiny: Excellent…I know that you can be quite persuasive! :^)
Calendar!….Has The Quilt ever appeared in the Plunders Calendar??….sniff!sniff!
