Groundhog Day? So I’ll just post what I posted yesterday, Bill Murray style!
Beginnings! Here’s the start of BARK TO THE FUTURE, a Chet and Bernie mystery that has high school football in it. So just right for Super Bowl week. And what you know? It’s the Kindle Daily Deal for the entire month (not just Amazon but all retail outlets). The price: $2.99! Scrounge under the car seats.
“Let’s see what this baby can do,” Bernie said.
And there you have it. Bernie’s brilliance, lighting up the whole oil-stained yard at Nixon’s Championship Autobody. Let’s see what this baby can do. Can you imagine anyone else saying that? I sure can’t. I wouldn’t even try, and who knows Bernie better than me? Sometimes humans talk to themselves, as you may or may not know. Humans have a lot going on in their heads. Too much? I couldn’t tell you. But I wouldn’t trade places. Let’s leave it at that.

Greetings!
Both Staten Island Chuck and Punxsutawney Phil predicted six more weeks of winter. Yeep!
Congratulations going out to the cats in The House of Many Cats who are February’s PFOM…Meow! :^)
Good Monday to all!
Canadian groundhogs, Wiarton Willie (Ontario) and Fred La Marmotte (Quebec) predicted an early Spring. Shubenacadie Sam (Nova Scotia) had his prediction event cancelled due to a winter storm happening with 10 inches of snow predicted. Since Sam did not see his shadow, an early Spring is suggested.
I predict 2 or 3 more months of winter.
Wose Thanks for reminding me to change the calendar over. I assume the House of many cats is Big Tiny’s domain. Am I right?
It was warm and sunny today. Not like 6 more weeks of winter would be that bad. Or rather it would be bad as we have had a mild and dry winter. My fruit trees need more chilling hours.
Freyja stole my one unripe fig off of the tree and yesterday she stole some tiny unripe apples from one of the trees.
I did manage to clear some of the brick patio from under where the old fence boards were piled. The hauler took them away a week or two ago. That is the next big project I think. I’ve built the raised beds but now I have to fill them with dirt so I am moving dirt from the back where it is spread all over the patio to the front. It has been on hiatus for three months with the replacing of the garage door and delivery of the new refrigerator and the new freezer in the garage and moving the old refrigerator to the garage. There was a lot of moving stuff back and forth. It’s not over as I want to get the HVAC installed before the end of the year (even though I missed the tax rebate) and the new refrigerator has instigated some redo in the kitchen; paint, new knobs and I still haven’t finished the island.
But I will be finishing my latest pair of socks this week.
Then I need to look at, yes moving stuff again in the garage, clearing enough space to work on my washing machine. It needs to be repaired and I need enough space to move it out and then take the shell off to get inside. I’ve got all of the parts, just had to wait for everything else to settle. Now it’s the washer’s turn to get my attention.
Dawson, you are correct! :^)
