Back to Question Time, this idea I stole from the British parliamentary system. Zoe I. Gladstone asks: “Do you write daily even when you don’t have a book in progress?”
No, I do not. I don’t write at all when I’m not writing a book. I don’t even think about it. If a thought happens to come to me? Well, that’s a different story!
Brooke Allen Wallace and a number of others have asked where the name of Chet came from. Character names are very important to me and so on day one I knew I needed names for the canine narrator and the PI and I needed them STAT! Names began scrolling through my mind. Chet jumped out – as it were – in seconds. Why? I have no idea. I am a fan of Chet Baker and there’s a lot of music in the series, but I don’t really see the connection. Bernie came a few moments later. It’s a less serious name than Chet and that suited the PI character that was taking shape, because his surface impression hid a lot of what was really inside him.
More questions tomorrow. Ask anything!

Greetings!
After a 92 degree day yesterday, it is 62 degrees in this neck of the woods.
SQ/PA: You may have been asked this question already, but when you are writing a book, do you go in with your plot fully formed, or do you plot as you go along?
Good evening to all!
Good question, Miss Wose!!
Inquiring minds want to know.
