“Did you have to practice writing in Chet’s voice or did he just appear fully formed as we hear him today?”
Answer: Chet, for those who don’t know the Chet and Bernie mystery series, is the narrator. Yes, he’s a dog, but NOT a talking dog. Everything flows from that. And yes, he appeared fully formed as we hear him today. A wonderful stroke of luck! Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that I’d never written in the first person before and therefore had a lot of pent up first person in me. If Linda would please message or email me with a mailing address, a rare physical copy of the short story A CAT WAS INVOLVED will be winging its way to her. Note: sometime during the repainting of the office the painters discovered a few more copies, lessening the rarity. Meaning I’ll be giving away a few more, so if you’ve got a question …
