Fairbanks

She found herself considering another swim. Out on the pond there was no sign of Fairbanks. He could be down below. He could have packed up and headed for some better spot. But were there better spots than Little Pine Lake? Was it possible that what interested Fairbanks most of all were the Little Pine condos themselves? In that moment Mrs. Plansky understood Fairbanks through and through. He was down below all right, making reptilian plans and keeping reptilian time.

(coming July 15, preorders very welcome)

  1. Ah, yes. One of the reasons if I lived in Florida, which I most certainly do not, I would stick to pools only. Nice clear ones that you could see to the bottom to make sure some cousin of Fairbanks didn’t deside to leave the rivers and streams and spend some time in a back yard swimming pools. Yeah, they’ve been known to do that.

Whenever I see “Fairbanks” I think of Douglas Fairbanks, even though he is even before Mrs Plansky’s time.

Hoping Fairbanks plays a significant role in the Mrs. Plansky upcoming book tour. I have my reasons.

And wouldn’t you know? Today is National Alligator day!
