Elephants and Me

Publishers love preorders. It allows them, maybe, to see around corners, or at least think they can. And what publishers love, writers can’t ignore. A sleeping with the elephant situation. So may I point out, not subtly, for sure, that I have 2 preorderable mysteries at the moment?

    But what if the printing presses are all lost in a tornado, hurricane, earthquate or swallowed by an unexpected volcano?

    What if your computer crashes and you have to start writing all over again and can’t remember what you wrote?

    What if you get writer’s block so extreme you can’t write the ending?

    What if there is a paper shortage and no ink is available, not even for ready money?

    April is in 2026. 2026 seems so very long away.
