Cover Art (More)

Yesterday I mentioned that the cover of Cat on a Hot Tin Woof, the next Chet and Bernie mystery, is one of my three top favorites in the series, so naturally commenters were asking what are the other two. We’ll get to that but first: over to you! What is you favorite, or top 2 or 3? There are 16 including Cat – in a series that can be read in any order! – and that’s not including the short stories. But let’s include those covers as well! Meanwhile today is pub day for the paperback of A Farewell to Arfs, the most recent C&B. Next pub day is July 15 for Mrs. Plansky Goes Rogue. (Preorders for it and for Cat are very welcome!)

  1. My favorites have always been the ones showing Bernie’s leg and Chet sitting beside him. Shows the partnership that is so important to their stories.
Least favorite is The Dog Who Knew Too Much depicting Chet as a border collie. That is not Chet in my mind.
Not real sure about the new cover. Something about the paw is bothering me.
Plus that looks like a wimpy cat. Why not a large tabby, perhaps favoring me.

    1. I agree. I love the leg photos. I also like the GSD model as opposed to the rear view painted ones.

By all means not only include the short stories AND the audio books because the audio covers are different than the books, which I really like.

  2. Greetings!

I have always been partial to those covers pictured in the bottom row. I think my favorite cover is for the short story “Santa 365.” Such a happy cover!

    Good evening to all!

  3. I think my first love would be Up on the Woof Top because it is the one we got as a Christmas Ornament and because it has all of the colors I love in the sky. Nothing like Chet staring at you full face.

The second would be Heart of Barkness because of the adoration of Chet staring up at Bernie.

Third would be The Iggy Chronicles, volume 1 (where is that pesky volume 2?) because Iggy is in so many of the books and shorts.
