Sunday is for beginnings, when we take a look at the start of a Peter Abrahams novel, including those written under the Spencer Quinn moniker™. Since pub date for A Farewell to Arfs, the next Chet and Bernie novel, is just over 2 months away, how about we go with it? Two notes – A Farewell to Arfs is preorderable, thanks to the ingenuity of 21st Century commerce; and this series can be read in any order. Take it away, Chet!

Who wouldn’t love my job? You see new things every day! Here, for example, we had a perp clinging to a branch high up in a cottonwood tree. That wasn’t the new part. Please don’t get ahead of me – although that’s unlikely to happen, your foot speed and mine being … very different, let’s leave it at that with no hurt feelings.

  1. Greeting everyone. Other than a horrible flight back from Las Vegas (we were delayed in taking off, then finally took off only to have an engine overheat so we had to return to Las Vegas after about a ten minute flight, and did not take off again for nearly four hours, making a 9:00 pm arrival time become a 2:15 am arrtival time back at Dulles),the trip was fanstatic from beginning to end. Nicest part of returning though was the warm and loving greeting from Franklin D the following morning when we picked him up.

    1. Glad everyone is safe and everyone had a great time on their separate vacations.

Condolences on the delay. Been there more than once.

Wish there was a way we all could enjoy the photos I know you took.

    2. After our last trip (to Mexico), we may never fly again! Just horrid! Glad you made it back home to Franklin, safe and sound!

  2. WTAFP! Thank Dog the plane made is back and landed safely. And so happy you had a great vaca! Can’t wait to hear about it.

I’m sure Franklin in happy to have his mom and dad back home.
