Not Different Enough

On the desk sat a small cat, looking like she owned the place. This cat was all black and white. Even the face—one side black, one side white. And the ears, one black, one white. I myself am all black except for one white ear—a fact I’ve learned from hearing people talking about my appearance in front of me. The takeaway? Miss Kitty was different from me, of course, but not different enough.
