Titles, anybody? The titles of the Chet and Bernie mysteries often come from reader suggestions. For example CAT ON A HOT TIN WOOF (coming April 14, please preorder, if you’ll excuse the hectoring). If your title is used you get a free signed copy when the book comes out. Right now I’m working on the C&B for 2027. It concerns two rival paleontologists, a giant desert tortoise thought to be extinct, and a long fall off a remote cliff. Any ideas?

Greetings!
I am terrible at this…Jurassic Bark? :^0
I know…terrible.
Good day to all!
Well, You’ve already done A Fistful of Collars so naturally my suggestion is For a Few Collars More. And of course, The Good, the Bad and the Furry.
I will have to think harder if paleontologists and tortoises, extinct or not are involved.
We will have to think thoughts about possible titles. Our Lady is the Chief Naming Officer of the kennel although the Giant is trying his paw at it. Until she figures out the name for a puppy, the default is Poopsie McPoopsalot. OFA, feel free to use that as a placeholder,
Rio from last night; If we’re on your gift giving list, we wouldn’t turn our noses up at a note excusing us from Remedial Bible Study with Beau.
Wose…that’s a pretty good one!!!
Rose. I think you nailed it.
Rio (from last night): The Philadelphia defense is “”I was in Philadelphia at the time”. Works wonders in all sorts of ways. Nothing to do with chess, however.
But given your friend’s fondness for chess, I will share with you the caption on one of the funniest New Yorker cartoons that I have ever seen. The picture is of a chess piece in the middle of a desert. And the caption on the cartoon is: “Obscure Chess Moves: Queen’s pawn to Albuquerque, New Mexico”. For obvious reasons I found that extraordinarily funny.
Obvious!…I looked up the cartoon, but Paw youse will have to explain the “obvious reason” to me…..gurgle!
Paleontologists!….Are they closely related to Archeologists??….snort! ….”Raiders of the Lost Bark”….snicker!!
Turtle!….My friend really truly has wanted a turtle for a long time….chuffle!….She is quite amazed that The Charming Mr. Abrahams is writing about a tortoise (which is far too big to live here)…snort!…This story will truly be entertaining. Can’t wait!….chorkle!
Titles!….Although, I still really like “Pug In A Pickle”….huffle!….Or “Pugilist Pugs Duke It Out”,,,Or “Pugs In A Vat O’ Slim Jims”…wheeze!
Ooer! We love Raiders of the Lost Bark

Our Lady had a turtle named Ross when she was in high school. Her aunt had a tortoise named Pocket. He had the entire large yard to himself.
