Answering Mary L’s comment yesterday – I have no special knowledge of astronomy but I’m a frequent guest on the monthly local NPR book show, allowing me to ramble on re this and that. I did take a course in astronomy in college (and also one of Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle) but my interest in the night sky was kindled by my dad (ex-USN) who taught me the constellations from our backyard when I was a little kid.
