Senor Piggy (More)

Over in the pen Senor Piggy made quick work of the loose bank note, not gobbling it up but more like snorting it in. I couldn’t help being impressed.

(from CAT ON A HOT TIN WOOF, coming April 14. Preorders? No objection from me!)

  1. Not sure how I missed it (perhaps distracted by the monster storm) but apparently Westminster 2026 concluded last night, with the winner being a Doberman Pinscher (from the Working group) named Penny. Once again I note with sadness and regret that the winner was not a Golden Retriever. Indeed, Golden Retriever did not even win the Sporting group, although that group was won by a Chesapeake Bay Retriever (which is somewhat similar to a Golden) and that dog, named Coda, was at least the runner up.

I don’t believe there has been a Doberman Pinscher member of the plunderers. I believe that Bear Spirit Dog was a Malinois, which may be close and of course Macy was a Min Pin. Not sure what Wolfie Wigglebutt was, but I don’t think he was Doberman.

  2. Mom and I watched the group competition and best in show. The first night, all winners were extreme hair/fur winners. Afghan hound, old English sheepdog, llaso apso, and the Maltese (the afghan was very striking). But last night saw the Chesapeake Bay Retriever ( who was our favorite except for the golden, of course), the Doberman, and the smooth coated fox terrier win their groups. The best in show judge had raised, shown and won with the pekinease (sp?) so we thought the Maltese or Llaso apso was a sure winner.
The Chessie and handler were so excited to win reserve champion! And the Doberman was beautiful and very dignified when she won. It was a great ending. You can go on the website to check out the winners.
