As visitors to this blog know, posting pictures in the comments isn’t possible. So the idea has been floated for a weekly workaround. Here’s what commenter ML had to say: “It could be Friday Fotos, Or Phriday Photos. Or something like that. And perhaps little blurbs about the photo, subject, why it was chosen, etc. … Only how do we do it?”
How about this: email me photos with little blurbs. I’ll post them on Phridays! As the post, if you get my meaning, not as comments. Sound ok? peter.b.abrahams@gmail.com

Greetings!
Great idea! It will be nice to see photos on the blog again. :^)
Make today awesome!
Good day to all.
Phridays it is. I will add that e-mail to my contacts.
Might I suggest Peter start us off with Dottie? I may be slow but I believe Audrey has passed and I think Pearl too but Dottie is still with him? She’s a black Lab?
I will send him my forever dog, Caesar and how he came to be with me and why he was the best dog in the world. (Everyone says their dog is the best dog in the world and no one is wrong.)
As September winds down the literary-related days are starting to thin out. Today is Love Note Day and I think Peter has posted his to us. I’m sure WTAFP writes his wife a love note every day because as he said previously with modification, every day is Love Note day.
It is also Johnny Appleseed day and I’ll be calling the local produce supplier as a last resort to get some Pippin Apples, although I have already decided to remove some rose bushes in the back yard and replace them with apple trees. California nursery claims they will grow in zone 10 so maybe I can grow my own. A Newtown Pippin and a Whitney Crabapple. My research shows that while Pippins are still grown commercially, most in the east, most are used for making cider. They also aren’t a great eating apple, although I love to eat them too but mostly I like to make pie out of them. Also apple bread and apple sauce. If both fruit I will be using the crabapples for sauce and maybe bread too but the Pippins will be apple pie and maybe some tarts, crumbles and crisps.
The “day” menu is awesome today. National Chimichanga day, National Dumpling day, National Key Lime Pie day. (Yes, I need to plant a lime tree too.) National Pancake day. I can make apple pancakes too. My Mom used to make them for us for dinner at least once a year. Once a year, usually the hottest day of the year, we would also have banana splits for dinner, the banana making it “healthy”. I suspect maybe it was because she didn’t want to have to slave over a hot stove or oven but I never complained.
