MLK Day

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” – Martin Luther King

“The truth is there’s not much color variety when it comes to humans, not compared to how we roll in the nation within. Take me, for example: mostly black but with one white ear, which I know on account of how many people mention it in my presence. Ever seen a human colored like me? The point is humans go on and on about skin colors when it isn’t even one of their strengths. ” – from SCENTS AND SENSIBILITY

  1. Mom and Aunt Linda had gotten home from a soccer tournament yesterday (gold medals were won) when all the smoke alarms started screaming at us. The House of Many Cats became a house of mayhem with cats crying and running from room to room trying to get away from the noise. Mom was climbing the ladder in every room removing batteries but the screaming noise kept going on and on! Luckily, mom’s human niece and husband live around the corner. They came over and disconnected all of the devices. It appears a wire in one is disconnected so all the devices remain dormant in the spare bedroom. Mom will be calling an electrician to repair/replace alarms.
But until then, at least it is quiet.

  2. Big Tiny: Yeep! Even human ears can’t take the sound of a screaming smoke alarm. I am relieved to know that there was no fire in The House of Many Cats.
