Chet and Bernie Spotify Playlist

Here’s the link to the playlist compiled by Mike Farley. More to come on this. And yes, Sea of Love is the answer to yesterday’s trivia question. It’s the landlocked boat in Of Mutts and Men. Phil Phillips (see yesterday’s post). Thanks to Wose for pointing out the Robert Plant and the Honeydrippers version in yesterday’s comments.

  1. Greetings!

Nice mash-up of songs on the C&B playlist!

An incredibly beautiful spring day in this neck of the woods!

    Good afternoon to all!

  2. Nice list. Very late 20th century. I think a few more old oldies should pop up. I imagine Bernie likes him a little classic Big Band and maybe some early jazz. Very early.

For Chet, today is Jumbo Day.

As a heads up, tomorrow is National Hug Your Dog day. You might want to get some practice in. Not that any of us need practicing.

Oh, and saw to say Frodo the Goat lost the March Meowness. It was won by Oreo the cat, the upside down cat exposing it’s belly to the sky, legs spread wantonly like a hussy and staring at the camera in defiance of judgement.

    Frodo was robbed.

    So was Freyja.

    1. Yes, none of my dogs are vain, no matter how much they could be excused if they were.

The most endearing character of dogs, aside from their never ending worship of us, is their complete lack of hubris. The poem I posted some time back distilled them down to their basics. They don’t care how they are treated, they just want us to be safe. And if they could, they would live forever just to make sure we are protected from all harm.

I think this is what endears dogs to me most. It is as close as I will get to being a goddess.
