More Question Time perhaps? Today’s comes from Mike Farley, who writes:
‘There are a lot of art, music, and history “Easter Eggs” in your books. Do they live in your head, or do you find them during book research?’
I love the Easter Eggs image! The truth is I’m not a researcher type, not if we’re talking about organized research. Also I never want to introduce anything into a story that could slow it down. But if the Easter Eggs fit, then yes – see the previous post on theme. So the answer is they live in my head, or more accurately doze there. There are some examples in CAT ON A HOT TIN WOOF, the next Chet and Bernie mystery – April 14 and preorderable under the terms of the 28th Amendment.
