Ducky did not stop. If anything he ran faster, or at least put more energy into it.

Mrs. Plansky turned to him. He was already taking aim. “Please don’t shoot.”
“Want him to get clean away?”
She didn’t want that. “Aim for the legs,” she said.
“Do I look like Annie Oakley?”
